Keeney Design has extensive experience measuring buildings and developing BOMA Building Area Analyses for commercial properties, having completed area calc projects for over 60 buildings in the Denver area. Our thorough understanding of the 64-page BOMA 2010 Office and 44-page BOMA 2010 Retail books that define "Standard Method of Measurement and Calculation of Rentable Area" allow us to get the maximum rentable area for the landlord, including examination of the "Legacy Method A" and "Single Load Factor B" methods for calculating area, as well as when the "Dominant Surface" used to define area can be taken to the building face instead of the glass line.
Ronald Keeney, president of Keeney Design, gave a presentation to the Denver BOMA membership to help property managers understand the complexities of the BOMA guidelines to avoid litigation, and also taught the subject for BOMA as part of the process for property managers to achieve RPA professional certification.
